I am a planner and have my todo list. When I accomplish a task, I scratch it off. Homework√ Laundry√ Groceries√ Clean house√ However, lately the idea of play has been on my mind.

So, this weekend we sent our son to Hume Lake for a high school youth group winter camp. My husband Randy and I had the weekend with our daughter Alicia. We spontaneously grabbed coffee/chai…

and drove over the hill to Saratoga to eat at one of our favorite restaurants called Bill of Fare.  My daughter and husband ate pancakes and I devoured rice, eggs and bacon. Yum!

Then, we drove 30 minutes north to attend the San Mateo Truck & Jeep Expo. It was the first time we’ve attended anything like this. It was fun walking around looking at all the 4 wheel drive vehicles and after market upgrades. Below, I am in sitting in a Polaris sand rail. That’s what I’m talkin’ about!

“The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there.”

Do you balance life with work and play? I’d love to hear how you do both.

Blessings, Rebecca
