Meet Rebecca

Welcome to my blog! I’m Rebecca Krusee, an Industrial Technology graduate of San Jose State University. I spent the majority of my manufacturing career in the Semiconductor industry.

For seven years following, I taught pre-school age children. Currently, I am an Admin for a non-profit Christian camp and write children’s books/non-fiction short stories. I love God, my family/friends, writing, mochas and chocolate! I hope you enjoy the insightful mommy stories shared. ..

My inspiration  began when my children came home from elementary school with their emergent readers. I thought, I’d love to do that!  Shortly afterwards, I attended the Mount Hermon Christian Writing Conference to hone my skills, and it was off to the races!

I’m married to my best friend, Randy, and am blessed with two beautiful children; Austin and Alicia. We live in the majestic Santa Cruz mountains surrounded by ancient redwoods, and the sparkling Pacific Ocean is just down the road.

As a family, we travel approximately every two years to serve. In December 2009, we went to Tecate, Mexico with Club Dust organization to build houses for the brick layers. At the end of 5 days, 200+ volunteers built 11 foundational houses and 5 temporary houses!

In July, 2011, we served at Camp Attitude in Foster, Oregon. It’s a respite for families with special needs. Here we are pictured on a ATV for trash duty. Who knew taking out the garbage could be so much fun?

In May 2013, we volunteered at Spirit West Coast, a Christian music festival in Monterey, California. We prayed for people during their crisis.

In May of 2015, my husband and son along with his entire 7th grade class served at Rancho de Sus Ninos orphanage in Tecate, Mexico!

After much prayer and thought, we closed down Project Warmth after 10 years of serving our homeless, and we closed down Kidz Korner after 13 years of exchanging children’s clothing in our San Lorenzo Valley community. We are excited to see what God has in store for our next season!

Enough about me. How can I pray for you?
